If you’ve ever been to Paris, then you’ve seen the iconic french bistro chairs.
Sprawling outside of the countless cafes in Paris are these classic chairs that make the outdoor seating areas charming and perfect places for the Parisian pastime of people watching along with admiring the beautiful buildings everywhere. The best locations to eat a crepe, some duck confit, or just a very American cheeseburger.
Unfortunately you can’t magically turn your patio or balcony into a Parisian cafe (unless you pick up everything and move above one in Paris). However, we can imitate the feeling of the classic Parisian cafe by outfitting our spaces with some gorgeous french bistro chairs!
French bistro chairs tend to have the same general look: woven rattan or wicker seat and back, often in checkered multi-colors, with simple legs that have a little wrapping on them.
While the french bistro chair is the staple of the Parisian outdoor restaurant patio, the look can go great inside. A lot of people use bistro chairs as bar stools at kitchen islands or around casual tables in breakfast nooks. They are so versatile and can really add some great color and design flare to a space.
The perhaps only downside of these super cute chairs is that they often are not going to be the cheapest chairs that you’ll find. That is why in this post we’ve searched for the most budget friendly bistro chairs for you. At the time of this being written, all but one of the chairs in this post are under $200 per chair, though some come in sets of two. While not the absolute cheapest, we think these are a great investment to make, as they are timeless and won’t go out of style anytime soon.
